Seeking Special Assembly Session on the No-Confidence Motion, the
Telugu Desam Party members met Governor E.S.L.Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan
and requested him to convene a special session of the legislature to
discuss the no-confidence notice given against Chief Minister Kiran
Kumar Reddy Government which failed to protect the farmers’ in the
state.” As soon as the Assembly was adjourned sine die by the newly
elected Deputy Speaker Batti Vikramaarka without taking up debate on the
no-trust motion served in the morning again, TDP President Mr.
N.Chandrababu Naidu held consultations with senior leaders and went to
the Governor where they complained about the undemocratic acts of
Pro-Tem Speaker J.C.Diwakar Reddy and later the Deputy Speaker in not
mentioning about the no-trust notice given by them one hour before
commencement of the sitting.
Later,
talking to the media persons, Mr. Naidu angrily complained that all
democratic procedures were violated by the Pro-Tem Speaker and an
attempt was made to declare Mr. Nadendla Manohar elected as Speaker of
the House in a unilateral way.
